N.E From Amethyst Floral Ring

Sterling silver ring by Danish designer Niels Erik From, dating to circa 1970. The ring features a centrally set amethyst cabochon measuring approximately 14.5 mm in diameter, framed by a circular foliate motif of flowers and leaves in relief. The full diameter of the decorative head is about 25 mm. The ring has a wide shouldered shank and is stamped “N.E. From,” “Denmark,” “Sterling,” and “925S” on the inner band. A well-crafted piece that exemplifies the organic and floral aesthetic of Scandinavian modernist jewelry design from the mid-20th century.
