Ginkgo leaf-shape necklace, Taxco

This necklace from Mexico is built from 18 ginkgo leaf shape sterling silver links, each an open form, connected by small hoops that keep the piece flexible against the skin. It carries a solid weight on the chest. Closed with a sturdy box clasp, finished a touch longer than most necklaces, with the option to remove a link for a shorter fit. Stamped TR 196, marking it as a registered Taxco workshop piece. I sourced it together with a small selection of Taxco pieces from a private collector. Truly one of a kind, I have not come across another like it.
